1 lb. Bulk Salsiccia (Italian sausage – spicy is recommended)
4 slices Baby Swiss cheese
1 bottle Budweiser
3-inch soft bakery rolls or buns
Optional Condiments: whole grain or spicy brown mustard.
Divide the Salsiccia into 4 equal portions, about 4 oz. each and flatten them out into a round, flat patty.
Cooking can be done on a gas grill, but a charcoal grill is recommended. You will need a medium-heat fire.
Place the patties on grill, close the lid and cook for about 3 to 4 minutes. Turn patties over, baste with Budweiser and close the lid. Cook for another 3 to 4 minutes. Repeat the turning and basting step at least two more times or until the juices are clear.
Before serving, while patties are still on the grill, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each and close the lid until the cheese starts to melt. Serve on a soft bakery roll.
